Giving someone all of you
your complete heart and soul
is not assurance they’ll
love you in the same way
We can’t expect to
be loved in return
we must wait for it to
grow in their heart too
And if it doesn't
we must be content
that it grows in ours
It’s better to have
loved and lost
than know that
our heart isn’t capable
of loving at all
