I believe we can see a reflection
of our heart through our eyes
and our heart determines if we seek
self-pity or learn to overcome
hold a grudge or forgive
hate or love
fear or faith
happiness or pain
If we continue to drink human misery
instead of tasting God’s mercy
we’re giving misery a value it doesn't deserve
which reflects on our heart
it’s time to let go of these ugly things
so our hearts can be beautiful
