Life is love
and love is to live
to receive love
we must first give
If we don’t offer
a single ray
to light another’s
darkened pathway
Or trigger a touch of happiness
and wipe a tear from the cheek
we’re denying our self of love
which leaves us weak
To leave everlasting waves
of love on the heart
giving inspiration to the soul
is a place to start
Without taking the time
to freely give
we really haven’t
loved to live
